The Conference Board of Canada’s Index of Consumer Confidence increased for the sixth consecutive month in August, climbing 5.5 points to 88.4 (2002 = 100). The US Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index, after retreating in July, rebounded in August to 54.1, up from 47.4 in July.
